1. Choose your type of AssetTag

The type of AssetTag, also known as ID tags, that is most suitable for you depends on the type of assets you want to mark and the purpose you aim to achieve. Need advice or not sure which option is best? Feel free to contact us. You can choose from one of the following solutions:

Standard AssetTags

The standard AssetTag is universally applicable and, thanks to its laminate layer, is a highly durable option.

EngravedTags

Thick, difficult-to-remove plastic AssetTags, laser-engraved with the necessary information.

Tamper-resistant property labels

Special AssetTag materials to prevent fraud by making relocation impossible.

Direct marking

Assets marked with an engraving or print directly on the property itself.

2. Choose content and dimensions

You have selected the desired material for your ID tag. Now it’s time to determine how your ID tag will look.

Content

Whether you want to print just a logo and starting number on your AssetTag or expand it with a barcode and contact details, everything is possible.

You can include the following elements on your AssetTag:

  • Logo
  • Barcode
  • QR code
  • Starting number
  • Contact details
  • Additional text

If you’re unsure about the content or wondering which information is appropriate for the ID tag, feel free to contact us—we’re happy to help.

Size and shape

Order your AssetTags in the desired shapes and sizes. At IDbeheer, you can choose from several standard formats, but you can also fully customize your AssetTag to suit your needs.

The standard shapes are:

  • Rectangle
  • Round
  • Square

By selecting the ‘Custom’ option, you can provide your desired design to us or discuss it with us. This customization does not incur additional costs for your ID tag. We are happy to advise you on the possibilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Want to learn more about our products, services, or have another question? Check if your question is among the frequently asked questions to get an immediate answer.

What are VOID stickers?

When a VOID sticker is removed, it leaves a marking, such as “VOID” or “OPENED,” on the surface where the sticker was applied. This makes it harder to replace the label without detection, also the adhesive is not able to restick. These stickers are also known as tamper-resistant AssetTags or property labels.

Which assets can I mark directly?

First, the surface to be marked must be flat. The suitability also depends on the technique used.

  • For full-color marking: The asset can have a maximum size of 30 x 42 cm, a height of up to 15 cm, and weigh no more than 5 kg.
  • For laser marking: The asset can have a maximum size of 72 x 43 cm, a height of up to 20 cm, and weigh no more than 10 kg.
Which types of barcodes can IDbeheer create?

We can create almost any type of barcode for you.
1D barcodes (linear barcodes) are widely used and can be read by almost all scanners. We generally recommend CODE128 because it supports letters, numbers, and symbols while keeping the barcode relatively small.

We advise against using EAN barcodes as they are developed for retail and do not offer specific advantages for AssetTagging.

What information should I include on my AssetTag?

For this question, it’s best to contact us, as it greatly depends on the specific situation and your preferences.

The most general answer would be: include all information that adds value for quickly identifying the asset and the owner.

For example, a logo is ideal for quick recognition, and an asset number is useful for quick identification.

How should I submit my devices for direct marking?

This depends on the type of device, we often discuss these matters during the quotation process. Part of the costs for this process depend on the time it takes to unpack and pack.
