Since 2015, we have been providing all the AssetTags for ROC van Amsterdam in a unique way. Each year, a number of different number sequences are determined for various types of devices such as notebooks, tablets, AV equipment, and PCs. This ensures they are organized, accurately recorded, and securely maintained.
IDbeheer generates these number sequences and keeps track of them. ROC then simply provides these sequences to their IT suppliers with the request to order the AssetTags from us.
Collaborating in AssetTagging
The IT supplier then informs us of the number of ID tags needed, for example, for notebooks. We know exactly what is required, produce these, and deliver them directly to the supplier while billing ROC van Amsterdam, including specifications of the delivered series.
The IT suppliers are responsible for applying the AssetTags to the IT equipment and providing the database for registration. This database includes details of the delivered equipment such as serial numbers, model numbers, brand, type of equipment, and the assigned ID tag number.
The main advantage for ROC is that the number sequences remain organized and controlled. Keeping track of where each sequence ends up is crucial, without them having to invest time or effort. We ensure everything is accurate and secured with the right stickers!
